NWEA Professional Development – Leveraging Data for Equity
August 30, 2022 @ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Leveraging Data for Equity
Start by defining data, equity, and identities
We believe that “student-centered instruction is the basis of an equitable educational practice.”*
Identifying where and how equity enters is the first step in eliminating barriers to access and
opportunities that put students at a disadvantage. Explore how data supports the responsive planning
cycle and how to meet students at their zones of proximal development to accelerate their learning.
Discover how these responsive strategies can be an equitable move that aligns with stress- and trauma sensitive practices.
Segments of learning
This offering is divided into segments of learning focused on answering a key question. Each segment is
approximately one hour in length. It is recommended that the segments be completed in order, within
a reasonable time frame. Your Professional Learning consultant will work with you to select the content
that best meets your learning needs and determine the best cadence for delivery to your team.
