The mission of the Charter Inspire Alternative Certification Pathway is to provide another option towards state certification that attracts, enriches and retains highly qualified educators who will do whatever it takes and who believe in the missions of our charter schools to provide excellence in education.

Pathway Overview

The Charter Inspire Alternative Certification Pathway will Immerse the Participants in:

  • A 14-month intensive program
  • The mission of the specific charter school
  • The 2013 InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards and the Learning Progressions for Teachers 1.0
  • The study of inequity in education and our role in changing it
  • Personal beliefs as an educator working with our students
  • Possibilities through school visits and/or studies of schools who are successfully getting traditionally underserved populations to and through college graduation at a high rate
  • High quality curriculum and essential preparations for lessons
  • The study of student work, achievement and other data, misconceptions, and exemplars
