PCSD Announces Partnership with Anderson University to Expand Opportunities for Students

The South Carolina Public Charter School District (PCSD) is proud to announce a new partnership with Anderson University aimed at expanding access to higher education and strengthening workforce readiness for students across South Carolina.

Through this collaboration, more than 30,000 students enrolled in PCSD-authorized charter schools will benefit from enhanced pathways to postsecondary success, including dual enrollment opportunities, access to college coursework, and expanded support for educators.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to expanding opportunity and preparing students for what comes next,” said PCSD Superintendent Chris Neeley. “By working together, we are creating stronger pathways for students and supporting educators in meaningful ways.”

The partnership will provide a range of opportunities, including:

     • Dual enrollment programs that allow high school students to earn college credit
     • Graduate-level coursework and professional development for educators
     • Clear, accessible pathways to degree completion for students across the state

Leaders from both organizations formally recognized the partnership during a ceremony at Anderson University in April 2026, which included remarks from university and district leadership, as well as opportunities to explore future collaboration.

“At Anderson University, we are committed to meeting students where they are,” said William Monts, Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management. “This partnership allows us to support students, families, and educators while expanding opportunities for long-term success.”

The collaboration comes at a time when South Carolina continues to experience rapid growth and an increasing demand for innovative education and workforce development solutions. By aligning K–12 and higher education efforts, PCSD and Anderson University aim to better prepare students for college, careers, and beyond.
